Clear Channel Entertainment (the owner/operators of the Post-Gazette Pavilion and the Amphitheater at Station Square), Clear Channel Radio (which includes radio stations WDVE, WXDX, WKST, WWSW, WJJJ and WBGG-AM) in association with A.J. Palumbo Center are pleased to present the Clear Channel Cares Acoustic Auction on Saturday, March 22 at the A.J. Palumbo Center from 12 PM until 3 PM.
The event features one-of-a-kind autographed collectibles, as well as hard to get special items and event tickets. The items will be bid on at the event through a silent auction set-up, with a few select items to be auctioned off live. Bidding for a number of items will start as low as $10.
In addition to the auction, the event will also feature a live acoustic performance by Joe Grushecky, B.E. Taylor, Rick Witkowski, Michael Glabicki, Bill Deasy, Phil and Tripper from the Buzz Poets and others, as well other fun activities and informational displays.
Ed Masley from the Post-Gazette will be the focal point of "Dunk the Critic", where exasperated Post-Gazette readers & music lovers can pay a small fee to exact revenge on Masley for trashing their favorite bands in his reviews!
100 percent of the proceeds raised from the auction will directly fund wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Western Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. It was founded in 1983 and serves 33 counties in western Pennsylvania and 23 counties in southern West Virginia with headquarters in Pittsburgh and regional offices in Erie, Altoona, Punxsutawney, PA, and Charleston, WV.
